The following are examples of some of the services that iit consultants have provided to various of its clients:

Strategic IS Plan

For a large organization facing drastically changing markets, iit helped structure an Information Systems strategy. The company was in the later stages of a major Business Process Reengineering effort, and Information Systems were integral to most of the recommendations. iit helped identify the systems needed, and prioritized the proposed developments. iit then identified commonalities, and helped develop alternative systems that could address multiple needs, to be implemented more rapidly at lower overall cost. iit also identified new technology infrastructure to accelerate the building of interfaces to legacy systems and manage the deployment of multiple concurrent systems developments.

Strategic IS Plan

For a new venture startup firm, iit developed an entire Information Systems Plan. Included in the plan were systems development needs, technology infrastructure needs and ways of acquiring them-- consistent with the firm's early stages of startup, staffing needs, timing and costs. A significant accomplishment was the identification of a unique information system that will give the company a distinct competitive advantage for several years.

Business Case Development

For a large company, iit developed the business case for an Enterprise Directory deployment. The work included a value model based on industry best practices, that allowed client management to assess different approaches and different assumptions. The entire business case was presented in the format required by internal company procedures, and achieved the buy-in from key stakeholders across the enterprise.

IT Management Mentoring

For a small company with an ongoing business, iit assessed the computer and network operations. iit helped stabilize the network and select new applications to support changes in the business. iit continues to mentor the management, providing experience and long-term vision to augment capable in-house day-to-day management team.

Data Network Architecture

For two major multi-national companies who had merged, iit led the effort to merge their data networks. This work involved rethinking the basic architecture of all of the networks, and restructuring the people and their roles and responsibilities in supporting the merged networks.

Product Management

For a major software development company, iit helped marketing define precise customer requirements for a new product offering. iit designed the customer feedback format, developed the specifications and managed the review and negotiations between the marketing and development teams.

Seminars to Explain New Technology

For a series of conferences in Australia, iit developed and presented a series of seminars explaining the new technology involved and exploring the ramifications of adopting it.
