James M. White
Jim is the founder and a principal consultant of International Information Technology. He has over 30 years experience in Information Systems and Technologies. This management- and executive-level experience spans all uses of computers including applications development, decision support, workgroup computing, network services, telecommunications, systems software installation, and data center operations.
As a consultant, he specializes in aligning and integration Information Technology and Business Initiatives. His work includes assessments and strategic plans, building business cases for information technology projects, creating value models for infrastructure and project and program management. His most recent work has concentrated in areas of infrastructure and enabling technology for e-Business, including directories, portals and overall integration.
Jim is experienced firsthand in many different business situations including: growth, stable and downsizing cycles; domestic and international operations; mergers and acquisitions; and incremental quality improvements and step-change business process reengineering and new e-Business opportunities. He has achieved significant results in manufacturing industries, process industries, utilities, accounting, brokerage, government and nonprofit organizations. In his consulting practice, Jim works with all sizes of companies, from new startup to Fortune 100 size.
Prior to establishing himself as a consultant in 1994, Jim managed Information Systems in large organizations. He was the Vice President of Architecture and Planning at Charles Schwab. While there, he built their System Integration organization, created their Distributed Support organization and spearheaded the deployment of distributed systems serving over 5000 users. Earlier, he worked many years for E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, Inc., where he restructured the worldwide networks to improve program linkages and reduce costs. He led Du Ponts early adoption of LAN technology and was instrumental in setting their direction towards open systems and distributed computing. Earlier, he led DuPont's European systems activities. He also worked with AT&T to restructure its service delivery approach.
In these management positions, he gained experience spanning all uses of computers including:

- Applications Systems Development and Deployment,
- Large Project and Program Management,
- Telecommunications and Data Networks,
- New Technology Introduction
- Systems Software Installation,
- Decision Support and Workgroup Computing, and
- Data Center Operations.
Jim has also led industry-wide task force of major companies (including GM, Kodak and Boeing) to establish standards to allow diverse applications running on different equipment to work together.
Jim holds a B. S. in Mathematics from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Delaware. He is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and a member and past National Chairman of the North American Manufacturing Technology Users Group.
Jim has achieved the distinction of certification in the field of Management Consulting. He has been elected a "Certified Management Consultant" (CMC) by the Institute of Management Consultants, which is the preeminent organization for Management Consulting professionals. Certified Management Consultant (CMC) is a certification mark awarded by the Institute of Management Consultants USA and represents evidence of the highest standards of consulting and adherence to the ethical canons of the profession.
He is an active member of the CMC Global Network, a group of Certified Management Consultants working together to extend and enhance the value of the consulting that they supply to their clients.
